SIROON hasn't launched yet, so there are no SIROON accounts to delete today. This page explains how deletion will work.
1. In the app
- Open SIROON and go to You.
- Open Settings and choose Delete account.
- Read what will happen, choose a reason if you want to (it's optional) and confirm.
2. Online, without the app
When SIROON launches, you'll be able to ask for deletion here without the app, by signing in with the same Google or Apple account you use for SIROON. That only proves the account is yours; it never creates a SIROON account. Contact details for requests by email will be published here at launch.
3. What happens next
- At once: you're signed out everywhere, your profile stops being shown and your connections end.
- Grace period (up to 30 days): you can restore the account by signing in to the app and choosing Restore account. The exact date is shown in the app.
- Permanent deletion: after that date your account and data are deleted as below. This can't be undone.
4. What is deleted and what is kept
Deleted
Your profile (including date of birth, gender, preferences and connection style), photos, voice introduction, Reveal content, the photos, voice messages and videos you sent in chats, your location, filters, likes, blocks, notifications, push tokens and devices, feedback, and the link to your Google or Apple sign-in. If you used Apple, we ask Apple to revoke SIROON's access. Media files are deleted from our storage.
Kept
- The text of your conversations stays in the other person's chat history, shown as from “Deleted user”, without your media.
- Records needed for transactions, accounting, safety and abuse prevention, without your profile, such as purchase and gift records, reports and moderation decisions.
How long each kind of record is kept will be set out in the Privacy Policy, published before SIROON launches.
